Dividend Aristocrat Cardinal Health (CAH) will increase its quarterly dividend by 1% to $0.4957 per share in 2022, marking 38 years in a row of increased dividends.

Cardinal Health also hiked the dividend by 1.0% in 2021, 2020 and 2019, with a 3% dividend hike announced in both 2018 and 2017. This means dividend growth keeps slowing at the healthcare services and products company with the last double digit dividend hike dating back to 2016.

The increased Cardinal Health dividend will be paid to shareholders on July 15, 2022 with a record date of July 1, 2022. The new CAH estimated annualized rate of approximately $1.98 per share yields 3.5% at a stock price of $56 for Cardinal Health. The average dividend growth for CAH over the last five years drops to 1.4 percent setting a new record low.

Fellow Dividend Aristocrat AND healthcare company Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) recently announced a 6.6 percent dividend hike, marking 60 consecutive years of dividend growth.
