Dividend Aristocrat Realty Income raises dividend 0.2 percent

Realty Income (O) will raise its monthly dividend by another 0.2 percent to $0.233 per share. The REIT, one of the Dividend Aristocrats, has now raised its dividend for 26 consecutive years.

This is the third increase announced by Realty Income in 2020. The total dividend increase YTD is 2.4 percent if we include the two previous hikes announced earlier this year.

The dividend is payable on July 15, 2020 to shareholders of record as of July 1, 2020. This is the 107th dividend increase since Realty Income's listing on the NYSE in 1994. The ex-dividend date for July's dividend is June 30, 2020.

 The new annualized dividend amount of $2.802 per share yields 4.5% to shareholders at a current stock price of $62.13. Year-to-date Realty Income's stock price is down 15.6 percent. The current market cap for the real estate investment trust is $21.3 billion.

"Our Board of Directors has once again determined that we are able to increase the amount of the monthly dividend to our shareholders, marking the 107th increase since our company's public listing in 1994. With the payment of the July dividend, we will have made 600 consecutive monthly dividend payments throughout our 51-year operating history."
