Walt Disney hikes dividend by 50%
On November 13, 2025, Walt Disney (DIS) announced a 50% increase to its semi-annual dividend, raising the payment to $0.75 per share. Based on a share price of $108, the yield stands at 1.2%. The next ex-dividend dates are December 15, 2025 and June 30, 2026.
Disney lifted its dividend by 66.7% last year, marking two consecutive years of growth since the payment was reinstated in 2023 at $0.30 semi-annually. The payout remains below the 2019 level of $0.88, prior to the 2020 dividend cut. Disney is also one of the relatively few U.S. companies that pays a semi-annual dividend instead of the more common quarterly schedule.
