Johnson Controls hikes dividend by 8.1%

On September 10, 2025, Johnson Controls (JCI) announced a dividend hike of 8.1% to 40 cents per share quarterly. This marks 5 consecutive years of dividend increases.

The board of directors of Johnson Controls International plc, the global leader in smart, healthy and sustainable buildings, has approved a quarterly dividend of $0.40 per share of common stock, payable on Oct. 17, 2025, to shareholders of record at the close of business on Sept. 22, 2025. This represents a $0.03 cent increase over the previous quarterly dividend. Johnson Controls has paid a consecutive dividend since 1887.

Last year JCI did not announce a dividend hike with the previous increase dating back to 2023. The dividend yield for JCI is 1.5% at a stock price of $108.
