American Assets Trust hikes dividend by 12%

American Assets Trust, Inc. (AAT) will raise its quarterly dividend by 12 percent to 28 cents per share in 2021. This follows a 25 percent hike to 25 cents in Q3 of 2020. Earlier in 2020 the REIT cut its quarterly dividend by a third to 20 cents per share because of the COVID-19 pandemic. This ended 7 consecutive years of annual dividend increases by the REIT.

The next dividend will be paid in cash on March 25, 2021 to stockholders of record on March 11, 2021.  A new annual rate of $1.12 per share yields 3.7% at a stock price of $29.19.
