Stepan increases dividend for 52nd year

Stepan Co (SCL) will raise its dividend by exactly ten percent to 27.5 cents per share in 2019, marking the 52nd consecutive year of dividend increases.


Surfactants maker Stepan Company will increase its quarterly dividend to $0.275 per share. At a current stock price of $95.68 SCL only yields 1.0% with the stock being up 29.3 percent YTD.

The dividend of $0.275 per share is payable on December 13, 2019, to common stockholders of record on November 29, 2019. The increase marks the 52nd consecutive year in which the quarterly dividend rate on the Company's common stock has increased.
