Exxon Mobil raises dividend for 36th consecutive year (+6.5%)

Dividend Aristocrat Exxon Mobil (XOM) will raise its quarterly dividend by 6.5 percent to $0.82 per share in the second quarter of 2018.

This marks the 36th consecutive year of dividend increases by the oil major.

The next dividend is payable on June 11, 2018 to shareholders of record of Common Stock at the close of business on May 14, 2018. The new dividend yield for XOM is 4.0%.

Through its dividends, the corporation has shared its success with its shareholders for more than 100 years and has increased its annual dividend payment to shareholders for 36 consecutive years.

Last year Exxon hiked its dividend for the 35th consecutive year. Earlier today fellow Dividend Aristocrat W.W. Grainger raised its dividend for the 47th year.
