AbbVie increases dividend by 17%
Dividend Aristocrat AbbVie will raise its quarterly dividend by 17% from $0,42 to $0,49 per share. The new dividend will be paid in 2015, marking the 41st consecutive year of dividend increases.
It's the second time in 2014 that AbbVie has announced a dividend increase. Earlier this year the dividend was raised by 5% from $0,40 to $0,42 per share. That gave the health care company a dividend trackrecord of 40 year.
The new quarterly dividend of $0,49 per share will be paid on February 13th 2015 to shareholders of record at the close of January 15th 2015.
After the latest dividend increase AbbVie has an indicated dividend yield of 3,6% based on Monday's closing price of $54,41.
