Nucor hikes dividend by 1.8%

On December 1, Nucor (NUE) announced a 1.8% dividend increase, raising its quarterly payout to $0.56 per share. Based on a share price of $160.70, the new dividend represents a yield of approximately 1.5%. The company has now delivered 53 consecutive years of dividend growth, qualifying as a Dividend Aristocrat.

The company also noted that this marks its 211th consecutive quarterly cash dividend. Nucor began paying dividends in 1973, maintaining one of the longest uninterrupted payout records in the U.S. steel sector. Over the past five years, the dividend has increased at a 6.7% CAGR. Nucor’s annual dividend commitment now stands at roughly $513 million. The ex-dividend date will be added once announced.
