MSC Industrial Direct Co (MSM) will hike its quarterly dividend by 2.4% to $0.87 per share in 2025. This brings the dividend track record to 4 consecutive years of increases.

MSC Industrial Direct Co. Inc. has announced a new regular quarterly dividend of $0.87 per share, an increase of approximately 2.4% from the previous dividend of $0.85 per share. In 2024, MSM also announced a 2.4% dividend hike. 

MSM dividend track record

The company, a leading supplier in metalworking and MRO (maintenance, repair, and operations) products, continues to return capital to shareholders through steady dividend distributions.

The stock offers a dividend yield of 3.9% based on the current price of $88.76 as of October 9, 2025. Over the past decade, MSC Industrial’s dividend has grown at a 7.3% CAGR, with a five-year CAGR of 3.0%.

In 2025, the company’s shares have delivered an impressive 23.7% total return year-to-date, supported by solid earnings performance and consistent cash flow generation. With a market capitalization of $4.9 billion and approximately $0.2 billion in total dividend payouts, MSC Industrial continues to demonstrate a balanced approach to shareholder returns and business investment.

Back in 2019 MSM did its last double digit dividend hike with a 19% increase. Through 2020 the company also paid several big special dividends to shareholders.
