Lindt & Spruengli is known for its famous chocolate gold bunny, or 'goldhase'

Chocoladefabriken Lindt & Spruengli AG, the Switzerland-based and globally active holding company developing, producing and selling chocolate products, will pay a CHF 1200 per share dividend in 2022. The Swiss Dividend Aristocrat has raised its dividend for more than 25 consecutive years.

In Europe, there are hardly any real Dividend Aristocrats as we know them a lot in the United States, where more than 100 publicly traded companies increase their dividend every year for at least 25 years in a row.

One of the exceptions in Europe is the luxury chocolate maker Lindt, wholly Chocolate Factory Lindt & Spruengli AG. Today Lindt released annual figures for 2021 and announced a 9.1% higher dividend of CHF 1200 per share.

LINDT IS ONE OF ONLY A FEW EUROPEAN ARISTOCRATS
For Lindt shareholders, this is the largest dividend increase in at least five years. In addition, this will continue to maintain Lindt's status as a Dividend Aristocrat with a dividend that has increased each year for more than 25 years in a row.

The Lindt & Spruengli share is a major decliner in 2022 with a loss of almost 20%. Lindt is also affected by the higher raw material prices. At a price of CHF 98400 per share, the dividend yield is relatively low at 1.1%.

Lindt & Spruengli normally always pay the dividend at the beginning of May, with an ex-dividend date of May 6 in 2021. With an annual dividend payment of more than 1 billion, Lindt is one of the largest dividend payers in Switzerland. Other Swiss Dividend Aristocrats that have increased the dividend for more than 25 years in a row include Novartis, Nestlé and Roche. Also Sanofi from France is a Dividend Aristocrat.

Chocoladefabriken Lindt & Spruengli AG, better known as Lindt, is a Swiss chocolate products maker operating worldwide with mostly luxury chocolate products. Lindt brands are, apart from Lindt, Ghirardelli, Caffarel, Hofbauer and Kufferle. Lindt is one of only a few true Dividend Aristocrats in Europa, having raised its dividend for more than 25 consecutive years.
