Franklin Resources dividend raised by 3.6% in 2021

Dividend Aristocrat Franklin Resources (ticker symbol BEN) has just announced a dividend hike of 3.6 percent to 29 cents per share. The investment management company has now increased its dividend 41 years in a row.

The increased BEN dividend of of $0.29 per share is payable on January 14, 2022 to stockholders of record holding shares of common stock at the close of business on December 31, 2021. The quarterly dividend of $0.29 per share represents an approximately 4% increase over the dividends paid for the prior quarter and the same quarter last year. Franklin Resources has raised its dividend every year since 1981.

Last year Franklin Resources hiked its dividend by 3.7 percent with dividend growth slowing since 2019. This actually is the smallest increase by BEN in more than a decade. The last double digit dividend hike dates back to 2013 with a 13 percent increase. The company now pays an estimated $582 million in dividends to shareholders annually.

Other Dividend Aristocrats announcing a dividend increase recently are Pentair and Ecolab.
