Dividend Aristocrat oil major Exxon Mobil (ticker XOM) will hike its dividend by 1.1 percent to $0.88 per share quarterly in 2021. This will mark 39 consecutive years of dividend increases by XOM.

Exxon Mobil did not announce a dividend hike in 2020, ending a streak of annual dividend increases announced by the company. However peer Chevron did announce a dividend hike in both 2020 and 2021, making Chevron the true Dividend Aristocrat of the two US oil majors.

The Board of Directors of Exxon Mobil Corporation declared a cash dividend of $0.88 per share on the Common Stock, payable on December 10, 2021 to shareholders of record of Common Stock at the close of business on November 12, 2021.

Through its dividends, the corporation has shared its success with its shareholders for more than 100 years and has increased its annual dividend payment to shareholders for 39 consecutive years.

At a current stock price of $64.31 the dividend yield for Exxon Mobil is 5.5% based on an annual payment of $3.52 per share. Exxon is one of the biggest dividend payers in the United States with a annual dividend payment estimated at $14.9 billion.

Exxon Mobil Corporation is engaged in the exploration, production, trade, transportation and sale of crude oil and natural gas, and the manufacture, transportation and sale of crude oil, natural gas, petroleum products, petrochemicals and a range of specialty products.
