Dividend Aristocrat Nucor raises dividend for 45th consecutive year in 2017
Dividend Aristocrat Nucor (NUE) will raise its dividend for the 45th consecutive year. The increased dividend will be paid in the first quarter of 2018.
Steel company Nucor will increase its quarterly dividend by 0.7 percent to $0.38 per share. The new dividend yield for Dividend Aristocrat NUE is 2.6%.
The increased cash dividend is payable on February 9, 2018, to stockholders of record on December 29, 2017. Last year Nucor raised its dividend for the 44th consecutive year.
Nucor has increased its regular, or base, dividend for 45 consecutive years – every year since it first began paying dividends in 1973. Over the past ten years, Nucor has returned more than $5 billion in capital to its stockholders in the form of base dividends, supplemental dividends and share repurchases.
Nucor and its affiliates are manufacturers of steel products, with operating facilities primarily in the U.S. and Canada.
