Northwest Natural Gas raises dividend for 61st consecutive year
Northwest Natural Gas Company (NWN) will raise its quarterly dividend to $0.47 per share, up 0.5% from the previous amount.
NW Natural is a 157-year-old natural gas local distribution and storage company headquartered in Portland, Oregon, and provides natural gas service to more than 718,000 residential, commercial, and industrial customers through 14,000 miles of mains and service lines in western Oregon and southwestern Washington.
Today's dividend hike is the 61st consecutive year that Northwest has paid higher annual dividends to its shareholders.
The new dividend yield for NWN is 3.3%. The dividends will be paid Nov. 15, 2016 to shareholders of record on Oct. 31, 2016. The Company's indicated annual dividend rate is $1.88 per share.
