Hormel Foods increases dividend for 49th consecutive year

Dividend Aristocrat Hormel Foods will raise its dividend by 25%.

The quarterly dividend is raised from $0,20 to $0,25 per share, marking the 49th consecutive year of dividend increases for Hormel Foods (ticker HRL). The dividend will be paid on Feb. 17, 2015, to stockholders of record at the close of business on Jan. 20, 2015.

The Feb. 17 payment will be the 346th consecutive quarterly dividend paid by the company. Since becoming a public company in 1928, Hormel Foods Corporation has paid a regular quarterly dividend without interruption.

The indicated dividend yield is 1,9% based on Monday's closing price of $54,13.
