Stepan increases dividend for 47th consecutive year

Surfactants maker Stepan Company will raise its dividend by 5.9%.

The specialty chemicals company increases the quarterly dividend from $0.17 to $0.18 per share.

Stepan has increased its dividend for 47 consecutive years now.

The new annual dividend of $0.72 per share gives Stepan an indicated dividend yield of 1.6% at Tuesday's closing price of $46.21.

Stepan Company is a manufacturer of specialty and intermediate chemicals. Stepan produces surfactants, which are the key ingredients in consumer and industrial cleaning compounds and in agricultural and oilfield solutions.  The Company is also a supplier of Polyurethane polyols used in the thermal insulation market, and C.A.S.E. (Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants, and Elastomers) industries.
